Joe Schisa (Ske-za, hard "e" as in "bee", soft "a" as in "far"), t'is me: maternally English, Irish, Scotch, Dutch, German with first American landing in the early 1700s; paternally Italian (half Rome & half the northern mountain "marble" region near Switzerland); born, raised and still a citizen of USA, a resident of Jamaica. Below a thin image strip of the slim spance in time/space I have been and has been me. What else need be said in positing my transient link in the great chain of being, long stories or next to nothing? |

Well, next to nothing sounds appropriate in the long haul: I have read that humankind achieved "full behavioral modernity" around 50,000 years ago which is a little over 800 of my currently 61 years of life: so what could one do with eight-hundred 60 year life-times? Probably not as much as 800 generations of fresh individuals taking and dropping what they choose from their "stuck in their ways" ancestors. Anyway, my interests include the following: [a] physical exertion (to "take the edge off the nerves" and boost up the endorphins); [b] ontology (the study of Being (after all, what else is there), including Consciousness since what good is Being without it; [c] computer programing (nice to have something do exactly as told); [d] playing music (played music keyboards off and on since age 8); [e] math, got a BS degree in Mathematics (I've forgotten almost as much as I learned), [f] most all critters. Used to love working in "the bush" with machete and other implements, but with busted spine I can't now do that, but I have and still swim the caribbean sea (over 20 years maybe over 10,000 miles going nowhere). Abandoned modern conveniences in 1989 to live with my then soon to be wife in fairly "third world" circumstance which seperated what's necessary from convenient though now we've set up a modern abode. Nuff said. |
